The Ducks announced today that they traded Matt McCue to the New York Rangers in exchange for left wing Tomas Zaborsky. McCue played six seasons in the WHL while converting from defense to forward, and he signed with the Ducks as a free agent in December of 2008. Zaborsky was a fifth-round draft pick for the Rangers in 2006 out of Slovakia and played two seasons with Saganaw in the OHL. He split the 2008-09 campaign between the AHL and ECHL before moving on to Assat Pori of the Finnish Elite League last year. The 6'1" 194 lb. winger scored 9 goals and 17 assists with 67 PIM in 43 games with the club.
