***Matt Beleskey Re-ups With The Ducks***

New, comments

THE TELETYPE:

Anaheim announced today that it has signed left wing Matt Beleskey to a two-year renewal, locking the forward up through 2013.  The OC Register reports the terms of the deal as one-way at 625K for 2011-12 and 850K for 2012-13.

Beleskey's entry level contract was set to expire at the end of the coming season, as is the case with Dan Sexton, Luca Sbisa and a number of the Ducks' other important prospects.  The 2006 fourth-round pick and former captain of the Belleville Bulls earned his contract by showing versatility in the Anahiem lineup, playing one-third of his even strength shifts on the top line with Getzlaf and Perry (and briefly with Perry and Bobby Ryan) while spending the rest of his time as a key member of the Ducks' third line.
