ARTHUR:
The news will eventually make it to The OC Register or some qualified outlet, but for now, take AC's pre-adolescent newsie cry of "EXTRA, EXTRA" for what it's worth:
"TONIGHT'S GAME WILL STREAM LIVE (BOTH AUDIO AND VIDEO) ON FOXSPORTSWEST.COM AND LAKINGS.COM"
Read all about it. And tell a friend, even if they're not a Ducks or Kings fan. Have them turn on the stream and go to sleep for all you care, but make sure to bombard the website with traffic. Make this a successful trial run, so that the Ducks follow su--
[Tonight's] game will be streamed live on foxsportswest.com and we are currently working on making that happen for our Oct. 3 preseason game against the Kings.
-Adam Brady, from his Ducks Blog
YOU SEE?! It's already working! Just let them know you'll watch it if they do it. And while you're at it, let Fox Sports West know we'd like our half-hour pre-game show back when they get around to it.
Oh, and bless you, Adam Brady, for continually bringing us the good word when Ducks marketing (and maybe Kings marketing, here) fails us.
Now, on to the game. The Ducks bring a 30 player roster into Staples Center, but with injured names like Lupul and Lydman still remaining on the bill, Anaheim may be getting closer to its opening night lineup than you think. Eric Stephens offers these line rushes from yesterday's practice:
Matt Beleskey-Ryan Getzlaf-Corey PerryJosh Green-Bobby Ryan-Teemu Selanne
Aaron Voros-Saku Koivu-Troy Bodie
Jason Blake-Maxime Macenauer-Dan Sexton
Todd Marchant-Kyle Chipchura-George Parros-Ryan Carter
Andy Sutton-Danny Syvret
Luca Sbisa-Sheldon Brookbank
Cam Fowler-Lubomir Visnovsky
Brett Festerling-Brendan Mikkelson-Paul Mara
Injured: Toni Lydman, Joffrey Lupul, Jason Jaffray
Now, I assume the Voros-Koivu-Bodie line means Saku will rest for this game. Otherwise, Carlyle plans to have the 5'10" center play Jimmy Hart to Voros' and Bodie's Hart Foundation in a line that I will immediately dub Finn Diesel.
As a quick note on the Crunch, who open their preseason schedule tonight, Magics has informed us that you can listen to Scranton's (they're playing the Penguins' AHLers) radio feed here. The game starts at 4pm in SUNY Oswego's Campus Ice Arena at Mohegan Sun Arena, Marco Cousineau will start, and the scratches, courtesy of Lindsay Kramer, are defensemen Joe DiPenta, Mark Mitera, Mat Clark, and Jake Newton, and forwards Brian Lebler, John Kurtz, Trevor Smith, Eric Lampe, A.J. Perry and Derrell Levy (ergo, the Ducks' bounty of young forwards will get a look).
Set your streams (but don't cross them) people! And post any game info and lineup changes in the comments.
FOWL!
