Your Friendly Tuesday Links Roundup: Nate & Pat's Bogus Journey (to Syracuse) Edition

KRISTEN:

Patrick Maroon was called up to fill the roster spot vacated by the Jason Blake injury, and Nate Guenin plugged a hole in our bent and broken defense. But now that Toni Lydman and Kurtis Foster are (presumably) healthy, it seems as though both the winger and the defenseman will return to Syracuse to ply their trade.

  • Kurtis Foster hopes to play in the Ducks' lineup for the first time on Friday, but nothing is set in stone. [OC Register]

  • The Islanders are playing well, but no one wants to acknowledge it. Thus, the folks at Lighthouse Hockey attempt to redeem their team through an analysis of the current power rankings. [Lighthouse Hockey]
  • The Ducks are currently auctioning Corey Perry's NHL Premiere gloves, other sweaty knickknacks, and an opportunity to meet the man himself. [Anaheim Ducks]
  • Points-wise, this is the best start that the Ducks have had since That Stanley Cup Season (SK has already noted this). But - did you know that Teemu Selanne is currently tied with Brendan Shanahan for fifth place on the all-time PPG list? Or that DSP is the third-youngest Duck to appear in an NHL contest (behind Oleg Tverdovsky and Cam Fowler)? [Anaheim Ducks]
