ARTHUR:
A flying paddle save by Dan Ellis was more than the Ducks needed as the home team downed the visiting Rangers 5-2. Lubomir Visnovsky continued his unmitigated dominance from the point and the Ducks' top line came through with two Corey Perry goals and one Bobby Ryan goal to add to Visnovsky's pair of tallies in the 1st period.
The win puts the Ducks two points out of the playoff watermark, where the Pacific Division currently crowds the 8th place logjam. The team now hits the road for a game against Colorado friday before returning to Southern California for a trio of home games against the Coyotes, Blues and Flames and a trip to the Staples Center.
