The mercy of the hockey gods, which did droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven in the Ducks' recent efforts, escaped Anaheim tonight, as the team desperately needed luck to get better than an 0-3 loss to the Vancouver Canucks at the Ponda Center. The Ducks hit a few posts and couldn't light the lamp against the league's best team, and the loss keeps Anaheim outside of the playoff mix, though they finish their homestand against their last wholly disinterested opponent with regards to the Western Conference playoff picture.
