Your Enemy: Jewels From The Crown

JEN:

It's a couple hours before puck drop and I have no idea who the Ducks are putting on the ice tonight for their third game in as many nights. Ryan Getzlaf, Bobby Ryan, and Corey Perry have been in the lineup for the previous two games, so they're likely out (unless Carlyle is pissed off at them). I would be surprised if Teemu Selanne plays after playing last night because Carlyle tends to lean on the reason "he's 41" as the season rolls along, and rightfully so. I also doubt that Jonas Hiller will start again. The coaching staff has already said that he's going to get additional rest until they're 10000% sure he's completely back to normal.

My gut feeling is that we're going to see the extremely young lineup that we saw the three games prior to last night's win. With that being said, I'm not sure who I dislike more, the Kings or their fans. Helene Elliott reported earlier that the Kings will likely roll out a lineup close to their projected regular season team. That means if/when we get smoked, all we'll hear from Kings fans for the next week how much we blow without considering who was on the ice. (Yes, we beat a JV team in Vancouver last night, but at least we admit it.)

It's that bandwagon mentality that drives me insane. You're more than welcome to talk crap when the games count, like the end of last season when one of our best players fought and we solidified 4th place in the West.

Low blow? Nah. That would have been me embedding a clip of our Stanley Cup victory. Something the Kings fans seem focused on telling us to stop using in discussion. Hurts that much, eh? Anyway, Mike Richards blah blah, Simon Gagne blah blah, Anze Kopitar healthy blah blah, Dustin Penner big boned blah blah. I'll care when the games count.

You, me and Drew Doughty can watch the game from the comfort of our homes on FoxSportsWest.com (if we're in the LA/OC market). The other option is listening to the game via AnaheimDucks.com or AM 830 KLAA. For those of you that prefer to read your play-by-play, Ducks blogger Adam Brady will have his snark filled live blog from Staples.
