Instead of mourning the loss of NHL games, we're going to celebrate the Ducklings in the AHL. We'll be giving you game threads for all Norfolk Admirals games. Post game will have a game review either that night or the following morning.

The Ducklings beat the Baby Sharks 4-2 on Friday night in typical Anaheim Ducks way; score a lot of goals in the first, give them all back in the second, and make it a heart attack of an ending in the third. Making his debut as a part of the Ducks franchise was goalie Frederik Anderson. Anderson received his first win on the back of goals by John Mitchell, Peter Holland, Troy Bodie and an empty-netter by Kyle Palmieri.
I watched the game on AHL Live. I reallllly liked the way Sami Vatanen played. I know there are many excited about his progress. I'm going to give him another five games or so to form a somewhat official opinion. I thought Peter Holland and Kyle Palmieri had fantastic first period. After that, I didn't really hear from either of them until Palmieri scored the open net goal.
The Admirals go for their 30th straight franchise win Saturday night. No pressure, guys.
Note: Sorry for phoning this one in, guys. I have a gnarly cold. I'm going back to sleep.
