The final day of Silly Season is upon us. We'll keep this thread going all day so you guys can discuss all the trades. Anything Ducks related will be posted first by our SBN Hockey editor Travis Hughes and then one of us will follow up. (All of us have jobs we don't want to get fired from and will provide updates as soon as we can.)

I don't foresee a very active day for the Ducks, but then again, I've been wrong plenty o' times this season. Let's take a look at the Ducks with contracts expiring at the end of this season:

Unrestricted Free Agent Restricted Free Agent
Jason Blake Nick Bonino
Teemu Selanne Kyle Cumiskey
Saku Koivu Iiro Tarkki (AHL)
Niklas Hagman Rick Schofield (AHL)
George Parros Marco Cousineau (AHL)
Rod Pelley Ryan O'Marra (AHL)
Sheldon Brookbank Mathieu Carle (AHL)
Dan Ellis Riley Holzapfel (AHL)
Jean-Francois Jacques (AHL) Patrick Maroon (AHL)
Matt Smaby (AHL) Mark Fraser (AHL)
Mark Bell (AHL) Sean Zimmerman (AHL)
Troy Bodie (AHL) Luca Caputi (AHL)

Nothing terribly sexy about any of those names. Both Koivu and Selanne have 'no movement' clauses in their contracts and would only be traded at their request. Parros' name has been linked to Vancouver in their need for an enforcer. Blake doesn't really offer much except an aging scrappy winger. Honestly, Sheldon Brookbank is the one on the list that could garner the most return, but surprisingly, the Ducks couldn't fathom giving him up right now.

Enjoy the day!
