This Week in Ducks History: Kariya Scores 30, Longest Win Streak and Winless Streak at Home

This week in Ducks history, Paul Kariya became the first Duck to score 30 goals in a season, the Ducks ended their longest ever home winless streak and their longest home win streak.

Sergei Fedorov becomes the first Russian born player to record 1,000 points in the NHL with two assists in a 2-1 win at Vancouver.

Set record for longest home winless streak, tying Edmonton 3-3 for their eleventh straight game at the Pond without a win. The streak officially ended with a 6-2 win over Calgary on Feb. 19.

Mike Leclerc set a franchise record for the fastest goal to end an overtime by scoring ten seconds into the extra frame to defeat Calgary 4-3.

Feb. 10, 2010
Set the franchise record for longest home winning streak by beating Edmonton 3-2. The streak officially came to an end when they lost to Colorado 4-3 on March 3.

Brandon McMillan becomes the first Duck to score two shorthanded goals in his rookie season in a 5-4 overtime victory at Calgary. His first came in a 6-0 drubbing of the Columbus Blue Jackets on Jan. 7.

Lost to Washington 7-6, setting the Ducks' franchise record for most goals in a loss. Alexander Semin finished off a hat trick by scoring the game tying goal and the game winner with less than ten minutes remaining in the third period. Sounds like a game the Ducks would have won this year, now if I could only remember who the coach of the Caps was back then.....
