Per Bob McKenzie of TSN, the Ducks have traded minor league tough guy Jay Rosehill to the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for Harry Zolnierczyk.

Travis over at Broad Street Hockey described Mr. Z as nothing more than a chippy, speedy fourth-line energy guy. He's a $600K cap hit (versus Rosehill's $550K) and will be restricted free agent at the end of the season.

Playing a majority of his time with the Adirondack Phantoms of the AHL, Zolnierczyk appeared in 52 games and scored 9 goals and 8 assists on 105 shots. His plus/minus is a beauty at a minus-17. In comparison, Rosehill played in 33 games for the Admirals, with 16 shots on goal he earned 4 goals and 4 assists and was a minus-1. From reading Shawn's recaps, this guy beat the crap out of everyone that challenged him.

Zolnierczyk recently made headlines for earning himself a four game suspension for destroying Ottawa's Mike Lundin. (He and Perry should get along swell.)

My guess is he's headed straight for Norfolk.

UPDATE:

My hunch is correct...
