Trade Deadline Day Open Thread: Are The Ducks Window Shopping?

Even though it's trade deadline day, the Ducks are probably going to be quiet. The rentals available may not be worth the price of high draft pick(s).

Trade deadline day is finally here. It's probably going to be relatively quiet for the Ducks, as shown by Bob Murray's comment to Eric Stephens of the OC Register:

Not at all surprised by Murray not wanting to move their first or second round pick. If they're going to build a contending team around Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry, they're going to need quality, early round draft picks for years to come.

I have a feeling if any moves are made today, it's to bolster Norfolk's playoff run, instead of the Ducks. We'll post anything that happens, like...

The Ducks signed a kid from Boston College, as reported by Darren Dreger of TSN:

Whitney's Boston College profile lists him as a 5'7" forward from Massachusetts. The New England Hockey Writers Association named Whitney, plus two of his BC teammates, as 2012-2013 Division 1 all-stars.
