Ducks Free Agency Frenzy Open Thread: The Rent Is Too Damn High

The rent is too damn high.

As I type this (apologies for sleeping in), the Ducks have $7.5M in cap space and have yet to sign Saku Koivu, Kyle Palmieri, Matt Belesky and (possibly) Teemu Selanne. Without a big trade (Jonas Hiller or Bobby Ryan) or the realization the compliance buyout is still an option for Sheldon Souray, there is no cash to go after the coveted free agents.

The rent is too damn high.

The conditioning camp for the Ducklings is happening right now at Anaheim Ice. Reception is horrible there. I can see why he's not active. Speaking of conditioning camp, scrimmage tomorrow at 9:15am and again on Sunday at 10:15am at AI. I'm sure I'll make it to one of them.
