The 2013-14 season maybe have been Teemu Selanne's final with the Anaheim Ducks, but for us at Anaheim Calling it was the introduction of a weekly edition of our flagship online audio presentation, "Anaheim Calling: The Podcast". With hosts Chris "Richard" Kober, "The Hawk" Eric Evelhoch, and Kyle Nicolas bringing weekly analysis of the Ducks, ACTP had such memorable moments as Chris interviewing SportsNet's Jeff Marek on our hardcore Olympic Preview edition, casting a hockey version of 'Space Jam', the St. Maroon's Day show, the ups and downs of the playoffs, an in-depth interview with Kid_Ish, and more.
Now for the 14-15 season we're expanding our audio footprint with a new weekly show that'll be broadcast live in addition to being available in MP3 form called "The Black, Orange, and Gold-cast" or in short, "The BOGcast". While ACTP continues it's focus on breaking down Ducks action and discussing the hockey issues of the week, The BOGcast will serve as a preview of coming opponents for Anaheim, as well as an opportunity for listeners to contribute live to the broadcast hosted by Eric Evelhoch. Every week, The BOGcast will feature:
- Interviews from around SBN Nation with writers for the teams the Ducks will be facing in the next seven days
- Live broadcast with chat box for listeners to be able to instantly message Eric
- A question of the day for listeners to tweet in their responses to
- An archived MP3 edition for those who can't listen live
AND
- Potential in the future to be able to take LIVE PHONE CALLS
The first edition of The BOGcast airs live this Tuesday night at 7PM, and will feature previews of the Penguins from PensBurgh, the Red Wings from Winging It In Motown, the Sabres from Die By The Blade, and the Flyers from Broad Street Hockey. Check back Tuesday morning for information on where you'll be able to listen live, as well as a full preview of the show.
Get ready, because we just doubled your dosage of delicious Ducks audio awesomeness.
