Ducks: Though Ryan Kesler managed to score the game tying goal in his preseason debut, the Anaheim Ducks and Goaltender John Gibson were edged in a 3-4 SO loss to the recently crowned Los Angeles Kings at the Staples Center Thursday night. Sharks: Similar to the results of the Ducks' last shootout loss against the Los Angeles Kings, the Sharks were edged by the Arizona Coyotes back at the SAP Center, 1-2. Despite outshooting their opponents 45-18, Antti Niemi was outdueled by the Arizona goalie tandem of Louis Dominique and Devan Dubnyk in his preseason debut.
