The Ducks are looking for their first season opening win since blitzing the Canucks 7-3 to open the 2012-13 campaign. Anaheim has not won a road season opener since the 05-06 season when they won 5-3 at Chicago. Since then they are 0-6-0 being outscored by a 28-8 margin; last year they lost 6-4 at Pittsburgh, in 13-14 they lost 6-1 at Colorado, in 11-12 they lost to Buffalo 4-1 in Helsinki, in 10-11 they lost 4-0 at Detroit, in 08-09 they lost at San Jose 4-1, in 07-08 they lost 4-1 to Los Angeles in London.
