Frederik Andersen Has A New 'Retro' Inspired Mask

The 'Duck Knight' hasn't been the mask Andersen has needed, so a new one is on the way.

After spending all of last season paying tribute to the Danish-made toy LEGO, and this season upping it by including Batman, Anaheim Ducks goalie Frederik Andersen has a new mask on the way courtesy of Swedish airbrush artist extraordinaire David Gunnarsson:

It's cool to see the Wild Wing mask logo so prominently featured on the crown of a Ducks goalie mask again. Also appropriate to see the California state flag bear and star get play on the sides, considering it's such a prominent feature in the famed hats that are so often associated with Andersen.

Gunnarsson has been the artist of choice for Andersen, John Gibson, Ilya Bryzgalov, Jason LaBarbera and Viktor Fasth amongst recent Ducks goalies, and is one of the most widely recognized mask designers in the league. Be sure to visit his site and check out the amazing collection of goalie headgear he's airbrushed for leagues and goalies across the globe.
