While the Sabres have absolutely owned Anaheim's southern California rival Los Angeles on their visits to upstate New York, going 13-1-1 against the Kings since December of 1993, the Ducks have earned points in over half of their 15 previous road games against Buffalo with a 5-7-3 mark. Anaheim has won their last two games visiting the Sabres by an 11-4 aggregate. The last time they actually lost in Buffalo proper was December 21, 2010, as the previous instance the Sabres beat the Ducks was October 7, 2011 as part of the NHL's season opening series in Europe in Helsinki.
