Numbers For Nerds

The 2013-14 meeting between the Ducks and Lightning is the last time Anaheim has played to a 0-0 score through regulation, with the Ducks winning on a Getzlaf goal in the dying moments. It had happened eight other times in franchise history; Anaheim is 5-3 in the overtime session and 0-1 in the shootout, having never played to a scoreless draw. Both playoff times happened in 2003, with the Ducks winning Game 1 of the Western Conference Final on Petr Sykora's double overtime goal, and Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final off the stick of Steve Thomas.
