Numbers for Nerds

Besides having suffered their 3rd loss in the past 4 games, the Anaheim Ducks are on their season's 7th consecutive game of scoring 2 or fewer goals. They have scored 2 or fewer in 21 of their 32 games, summing up to a league-worst average of 1.84 goals per game. Things get worse when you look at the pitiful 2nd period appearances--putting them at the bottom of the league with only 12 goals. The next worst team Edmonton Oilers has doubled that second period stat. Boo.
