Numbers for Nerds:

Despite both teams having positive goal differentials in first periods (ANA +5, NJ +19), and negative differentials in second periods (ANA -21, NJ -12) the key difference lies in third periods. In closing frames, Anaheim has a solid +17 goal differential (83GF, 66GA) compared to New Jersey's atrocious -25 differential (54GF, 79GA) in thirds.

To keep it simple, the third period could be the deciding factor tonight, especially if the Ducks are trailing going into the third period. Keep in mind Anaheim leads the league with 12 wins when trailing after the first two periods of play.
