Numbers for Nerds:
During the CNBC/SportsNet broadcast last night (a perk of being an out-of-state fan), the broadcast made a comparison that showed just how inexperienced this Jets roster is when it comes to the postseason. Anaheim's three big scorers, Ryan Getzlaf (81), Corey Perry (74), and Ryan Kesler (57) have played in a combined 212 playoff games, not including Thursday's Game 1. Winnipeg's entire roster, on the other hand (a list of 31 guys, mind you) have played 276 games between all of them. That's an average of 70 postseason games for the Duck hotshots, and only eight for any given Jet.
