Numbers for Nerds:
Through Monday's games, the Ducks-Jets series leads all series with 89.67 combined team hits per game. The average so far in these playoffs is 71.08. (figures not adjusted for overtime). Of course, hitting is a subjective statistic and I'm not sure if it's a coincidence that the home team has officially out-hit the away team in all three games. But the point is (and the eye test backs this up) this is one nasty, hard-fought series, one of the most physical I can remember seeing the Ducks play in ever, and that isn't about to change on Wednesday night.
