Playoffmetrics: Game Four

Game four stat visualizations.

The Anaheim Ducks have defeated the Winnipeg Jets to move into the second round. Shockingly, the team won in four games while controlling the share of shot attempts by 52.5% after adjusting for score. That is impressive and currently ranks fifth best behind Tampa Bay, Vancouver, St. Louis, and Chicago, which updates what I wrote yesterday here. Again, it is only through four games; considering the Jets were the favorite according to score adjusted corsi going into the series, it is good.

Here is the Datarink head-to-head (my favorite):

Hampus Lindholm and Francois Beauchemin were money and nails, respectively, last night. Boudreau switched up Patrick Maroon and Matt Beleskey somewhere in the middle of the game, which gave the top line a bit better look. For not scoring, I thought this was one of Beleskey's better games.

Ultimately though, the Ducks won and I just hit the word count limit. Boom.
