Troy Terry. American hero.

The 2015 5th round pick (148th overall) of the Anaheim Ducks pulled off his best T.J. Oshie impression with 3 goals in the shootout against Russia to earn a trip to the IIHF World Junior Championship gold medal game in Montreal.

Take a look at this game-winning goal and try not to spit out whatever it is you’re drinking right now.

You want more? Oh, there’s more.

Terry has been having a great tournament so far with 3 goals and 3 assists for 6 total points in 6 games. He was originally considered to be one of the players on the outside looking in heading into the USA WJC roster, but the University of Denver Sophomore made it after a great camp. He was also the beneficiary of multiple forward injuries as well as supposed snubs of players like Alex DeBrincat.

Team USA will play the winner of the semifinal game between Sweden and Canada tomorrow night at 5:00 PST on NHL Network.
