On the morning of the first game of the Anaheim Ducks 2017-2018 NHL, it was announced that Giovanni Fiore had been recalled by the club. He will likely make his NHL debut tonight tonight against the Arizona Coyotes.

The undrafted 21-year-old was signed as a free agent by the Ducks last April after putting up 52 goals and 38 assists for 90 points in 61 games last year for the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles in the QMJHL.
The 6’1”, 194 lb winger turned heads at training camp, which is why it surprised many people when he was sent down earlier this week as he seemed to play well all throughout preseason, even getting looks on the PK at times.
Giovanni Fiore is on the ice for morning skate that's soon to commence. Ryan Getzlaf isn't. There you go.

We will have to wait and see if captain Ryan Getzlaf plays tonight, but as for Fiore, it looks like we will see #90 in the lineup.
UPDATE: The Ducks have confirmed that Getzlaf will not play tonight.
INJURY UPDATE: Carlyle said Ryan Getzlaf (lower-body injury) did not skate this morning and will not play tonight.
