Dustin Tokarski was traded this morning to the Philadelphia Flyers for “future considerations,” which turned out to be goaltender Leland Irving.

As any player can feel to be traded for future considerations is always a morale booster. This definitely won’t be a Kris Draper trade.

Tokarski never seemed to have a real chance at making the roster on a full-time basis, so this doesn’t affect the team too much.
In Other News:
It looks like the Ducks are getting closer to becoming a fully healthy NHL squad. Somehow with starting a team made up of about half bottom line role players, Anaheim still grabbed 3 of 4 points in the first two games of the season.
With the news that Patrick Eaves, Ryan Getzlaf, Hampus Lindholm, Ryan Miller, Nick Ritchie, and Sami Vatanen all taking part in practice yesterday, it may not be much longer until the team approaches full strength.
While Getzlaf can make his season debut tonight against the Calgary Flames if he’s ready, the earliest Eaves is eligible to be activated from Injured Reserve is for Wednesday’s game against the New York Islanders.
Good to see Eaves, Getzlaf, Lindholm, Miller, Ritchie and Vatanen in the (optional) a.m. skate. Eventually gonna be a whole different team.
