To round out the 2017 calendar year, associate ediotr CJ Woodling joins me to break down what was an interesting afternoon affair between the Anaheim Ducks and Arizona Coyotes. We talked about another offensive display from Ryan Getzlaf and Rickard Rakell, a strong game from Cam Fowler, as well as Brandon Montour's place on this current team.

2017 had a number of interesting story lines for Anaheim. We took a look back at the year that was for the Ducks; from a surprising run to the Western Conference Final led by Getzlaf, to a mind-bending Expansion Draft, it was quite the year.

With the past year in the books, we also took a look ahead at 2018 and what it could bring for Anaheim. CJ is looking forward to the stretch run with a healthy team, as well as how Jacob Larsson and Marcus Pettersson will fare in the next training camp. As for me, I'm very intrigued by the upcoming offseason, where guys like Andrew Cogliano, Antoine Vermette, Kevin Bieksa, and many others will be hitting unrestricted free agency. As far as restricted free agency goes, Ondrej Kase, Brandon Montour, and Nick Ritchie will all be up for renewal, so it should be a fascinating summer.

We touched on it at the end, but it bears repeating here: 2017 was a great year for Anaheim Calling, and it couldn't have been done without the continued support of both the longtime diehards of the site, as well as some fresh newcomers. It doesn't go unnoticed, nor unappreciated, so thank you. We're all looking forward to providing you with even more content in 2018.

Happy New Year!
