Your Enemy: Jewels From The Crown
I don’t think I need to offend your intelligence with the obvious regurgitated logic - the Ducks need to rebound in this game after a very disappointing loss to the Panthers. On the bright side, the Kings lost to those very same Panthers just last night, albeit not as badly.
Our Freeway Face Off rivals currently sit just outside of a wildcard spot with 60 points in 57 games and are 28-25-4 on the season. The Ducks are now third in the Pacific - comfortably 8 points ahead of Calgary but starting to lose touch with San Jose who are 6 points ahead to lead the division.
The last time these two met was back in November, a 3-2 loss after the Kings took advantage of the Ducks “2nd Period Experience (TM)” and got 3 goals behind Gibson before the Ducks mounted an anti-climactic comeback in the third.
It’s likely Gibson gets the start tonight. Gibby will porbably be facing Peter Budaj, though that remains to be seen, given it is a back to back for the Kings.
The Cogliano-Kesler-Silfverberg line has been re-united in an attempt to spark an Anaheim offense that has been fairly anemic as of late. The question remains, will we finally see the recently recalled Corey Tropp? Given it’s the Kings and the high likelihood of faces that need punching, the answer most likely a frustrating no.
Ducks and Kings, lets get a win boys.
Or at least some goals, please?
