RIP Chris Cornell

The Ducks find themselves in the very familiar position of being a game down in the series after a third period collapse that left the helpless John Gibson on his own to dodge crease-crashing Predators.

On the bright side they didn't have a terrible start - they just had a terrible finish.

Tonight they will need to play the full sixty minutes with as much urgency as the Predators showed (which was best described as an over-eager flood) in order to tie the series heading back to Anaheim for Game 5.

John Gibson withstood the initial barrage and was looking very focused until that go-ahead goal; his team around him not so much. He will need to have another strong game with hopefully a more supportive cast for game four.

Despite the strong play of youngsters Shea Theodore and Brandon Montour - Carlyle might look to change things up to prevent any further transgressions with Gibson by inserting Bieska back into the line-up. That will likely be determined right before puck-drop.

Forward lines are likely to remain the same.

Here is hoping the rest of the team shows up to play the full sixty minutes for this one.

Go Ducks.
