Anaheim Calling Fantasy League

Come compete against your favorite or least favorite writers in a Daily Fantasy League format

This year, we wanted to try something different with the readership of Anaheim Calling. Instead of creating a season long league for all of us to compete in, with a limited number of spots, we have decided to set up a DraftKings league that will be populated with various contests throughout the season!

For those unfamiliar with DraftKings and the daily fantasy format, instead of having a draft prior to the season and then being stuck with those players (or ones picked up on waivers), you redraft for every competition, each day. Unlike season long competitions, multiple people can pick the same players. In daily fantasy, you build a lineup to fit within a salary cap and then compete against multiple players with that lineup.

In the Anaheim Calling league, we will be running free NHL competitions daily for readers to utilize and compete in, and once a week or more if the demand is there, we will run a 50/50 (top half double their entry) and a GPP competition (top quarter or so win a tiered amount with 1st place winning the most) with the entry fees for the competition varying.

The best part is that the number of spots in the league overall is unlimited. The only limit is the amount of people allowed to enter into each competition for the day. If the demand is there this limit can keep on rising.

DraftKings keeps track of the results in contests, and will provide a ranking of the players in the paid competitions!
