After dropping consecutive games, the Anaheim Ducks will try to finish their trip out east with a win against the Buffalo Sabres. The Ducks’ surge of scoring seems to have worn off a bit, with them managing just one goal in each of their losses. The Buffalo Sabres are also hoping for a bit of a turn-around, as they too have lost consecutive games with just 3 goals for during that time. Both teams sit third in their respective divisions, but a win could jump Anaheim into second place.
Fortunately the Ducks have a great chance of winning as long as they can stifle the Sabres’ top line of Jack Eichel and Jeff Skinner. The duo has been truly incredible this season, but the Sabres’ essentially live and die by that line’s performance. Look for Ryan Getzlaf and company to lead the way offensively in order to grind out a win before heading back to the west coast.
