Your Enemy: Nucks Misconduct
Post-Trade Deadline Aftermath
Apologies for the late preview, but let’s be honest—y’all were on Twitter tracking the the big trades coming out of Ottawa and New York. After yesterday’s news bidding adieu to Brandon Montour, things remained relatively quiet on the Anaheim front today. Well except Michael del Zotto was just traded to St. Louis for a 6th round pick.
In terms of actual relevant trades, I don’t think it surprised any of us that Bob stood (mostly) pat on the last day of the deadline as its becoming clear what is the vision for Anaheim.
Your Enemy that you don’t really care about
The Vancouver Canucks currently stand 6th in the Pacific, posting a 26-28-8 record thus far in the season. They also have a 2-6-2 record in the last ten games. We feel you Vancouver. And speaking of quiet teams during the deadline, Vancouver was quiet for most of today—until about an hour after deadline. They acquired Linus Karlsson from the San Jose Sharks for forward Jonathan Dahlen as a straight trade, and shipped Erik Gudbranson to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for Tanner Pearson. Although there were rumors for other Canucks would be potentially moved, GM Benning stuck to his word on keeping Vancouver’s 2019 draft picks.
From the below-lackluster performance of the Vancouver Canucks this season, it is clear that Vancouver are potentially in on the #loseforhughes race. But then again, the West Wild Card race is still close enough to where anything can happen.
The one really bright spot on this team is Elias Pettersson. He’s very good. A prime candidate for the Calder, he leads not only his team but all rookies in goals, points, assists, PPG, PPP, GWG and PPG. Like I said, he’s good.
Status Updates
Ryan Getzlaf (upper body) not on ice so looking like he's out a third straight game. Daniel Sprong appears to be back in. Skating with Perry and Rakell. Brendan Guhle paired with Jaycob Megna.

Korbinian Holzer is here and Andy Welinski is not. Looks like actual shuttle move other than paper transactions.

Ryan Miller could be a question mark to dress tonight. Nursing some type of ailment. Naturally Kevin Boyle would start if he can't go. Angus Redmond is up here for insurance it appears.

Keys to the Game
Wait can someone tell me if we actually want to win this game?
Cheers! Puck drops tonight at 7:00PM PST.
