Dostál spent time with both SK Horacka Slavia Trebic of the Czech2 league and Ilves of Liiga in Finland, putting up a .915 and .922 save percentages respectively.
The 18-year-old gained some international prominence when he posted a .957 save percentage in four starts for the Czech Republic at the World Junior Championships, turning in one of the best goaltending performances of anyone in the tournament.
Dostál joins Olle Eriksson-Ek as the top goaltending prospects in the Ducks system, with the eventual goal of taking over backup duties to John Gibson within the next couple of seasons.
