According to Pierre Lebrun of TSN and The Athletic on Saturday afternoon, the Anaheim Ducks and Corey Perry’s camp have been in communication and are on the same page regarding a potential move out of Anaheim, indicating that his days with the team could be numbered.

Per Lebrun, Anaheim would most likely have to retain salary in order to make a trade work. Should swapping Perry to another club be out of the cards, Lebrun added in his Athletic article that the Ducks are also contemplating buying out his contract.

Perry, 34, has two years remaining on a contract that carries a $8.625 million cap hit. After undergoing surgery to repair a a damaged meniscus and MCL, Perry posted 10 points in 31 games for the Ducks in the 2018-19 season.
