Per Lebrun, Anaheim would most likely have to retain salary in order to make a trade work. Should swapping Perry to another club be out of the cards, Lebrun added in his Athletic article that the Ducks are also contemplating buying out his contract.
Perry, 34, has two years remaining on a contract that carries a $8.625 million cap hit. After undergoing surgery to repair a a damaged meniscus and MCL, Perry posted 10 points in 31 games for the Ducks in the 2018-19 season.
