Four Anaheim Ducks prospects will be taking part in the 2019 World Junior Showcase in Plymouth, Michigan as members of Team USA, while one will be a member of Team Canada.

The American squad includes 2019 9th overall pick center Trevor Zegras, 2nd round defenseman Jackson LaCombe, 5th rounder forward Trevor Janicke, and 2018 3rd round forward Blake McLaughlin.

2018 2nd round center Benoit-Olivier Groulx will get a look with Team Canada in the showcase to round out the Ducks representatives.

While this tournament will not officially land these young players spots in the 2020 World Junior Championship in Ostrava and Trinec, Czech Republic, this showcase is the first shot they have at impressing national team brass, giving them an opportunity to get a leg up on other players before official roster selections in the fall.

The World Junior Showcase will be held at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan and will feature the USA, Canada, Sweden, and Finland from July 26th through August 3rd.

The first six games of the tournament will be streamed on HockeyTV, while the remaining six games including the final will be broadcast on NHL Network.
