2020 NHL Draft: Every Ducks selection made in Rounds 5-7

The Anaheim Ducks have selected three right-handed defenseman and two right-wingers with their first five picks of the 2020 NHL Draft. General manager Bob Murray clearly had a plan coming into the draft as he tries to rebuild the Ducks roster.

Anaheim is slated to pick twice over the final three rounds (No. 129, No. 160) Here is a complete list of the Ducks’ selections:

PICK 129: Artyom Galimov, LW

Team: AK Bars Kazan (KHL) | Nationality: RUS | Age: 21 | Ht: 5-11 | Wt: 176 | Shoots: L | TSN Ranking: N/A | 2019-20 Stats: 12 GP, 3 G, 4 A

Elite Prospects says:

Galimov seemed to always know the next option when he received the puck this game, which helps him create quicker and cleaner transitions. When Galimov’s defensive assignments are clear, he can stick to his check and deny passes coming to him.

PICK 160: Albin Sundsvik, C

Team: Skellefteå AIK (SHL) | Nationality: SWE | Age: 19 | Ht: 6-2 | Wt: 187 | Shoots: L | TSN Ranking: N/A | 2019-20 Stats: 38 GP, 3 G, 1 A

Elite Prospects says:

Sundsvik’s wrist shot had a good, swift, release and did not have much wind-up time. He could place his shot well and gave the goaltender problems even while shooting from quite far out. In his own end, Sundsvik worked hard and but in the effort needed. His stickwork looked good and he could engage in physical play when he attempted to win the puck.

His skating looked potentially NHL average with development. On offence, he hit closed passing lanes and barely missed a catch-and-release on the powerplay.
