Ducks Announce Rookie Camp Roster, Schedule

You know it's almost time for training camp when the rookies get going. The Anaheim Ducks have released the 2015 Rookie Camp roster, as well as the three scheduled open practice days. The roster features 10 Ducks draft picks, two professional tryouts, nine amateur tryouts, and three free agents.

TSN's Travis Yost has an article up making the argument that as the Ducks depth has improved and since Bruce Boudreau took over, not only has the ice time for Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry dropped but their goal differential has improved dramatically.

San Diego Gulls unveil uniforms for 2015-16

The Ducks AHL Affiliate Gulls have unveiled their first jerseys for their new run in the AHL and their affiliation with the Ducks. They feature the primary white and black away with the light blue and orange accents confirming the earlier leak of the home jersey in EA's NHL 16. The style itself appears to be similar to the Ducks while taking some design cues from Calgary's uniforms as well. One great highlight is the featuring of the interlocking SD on one shoulder and the Ducks "D" on the other. Overall a nice kit with similarities to the parent club while having its own identity unlike so many other AHL teams.

Nine Ducks Make NHL.com's Fantasy Top 250

NHL.com's fantasy experts Pete Jensen and Matt Cubeta have released their preseason Top 250 fantasy hockey rankings. With nine players ranked Anaheim is tied for 7th most in the league behind Nashville and Colorado (10), St. Louis and Winnipeg (11), Tampa Bay (12), and the Rangers league-high 13. San Diego Gulls Schedule released

The Gulls and the AHL's schedule has finally dropped now that the NBA schedule got sorted out with regard to arenas a few teams share with NBA teams. Season opens October 9 for the league with the Gulls opening October 10 vs Grand Rapids. The season will run through April 16 where the Gulls will finish up with a Fri/Sat back to back night in San Diego vs the Kings affiliate Ontario Reign.
