Should Anaheim be able to maintain their current success rate killing penalties, it would be the highest since the Ottawa Senators prevented power play scores 88.0% of the time three seasons ago. The highest rate in franchise history is 87.4% by the 02-03 Mighty Ducks Western Conference champion team, which finished second in the league.
11-12 New Jersey holds the NHL record with a 89.58% mark- in the playoffs they erased only 73.2%, and if you remove the three goals scored on the first period major in the Stanley Cup clinching game six by Los Angeles it was still just 76.5%.
