Blues at Ducks, Jan. 31: Lines, gamethread & how to watch

Last night was a rough outing for the Anaheim Ducks.

The St. Louis Blues were up 3-0 within just over two minutes into the game, causing John Gibson to be pulled. To their credit, the Ducks scored a goal for themselves before the period ended, but it wasn’t near enough to keep them in the game.

The Blues are emblematic of the issues that will keep the Ducks out of the postseason race if uncorrected. The lack of scoring power was further stifled by the Blues’ defense, but more importantly, the Ducks’ defense left both John Gibson and Ryan Miller out to dry against the offensive threat of the Blues.

John Gibson will start again, playing just two minutes in last night’s game. The Blues will also switch it up with Ville Husso starting in net.
