Ducks matched a franchise record for most goals allowed in a period when Phoenix scored five in the second, on their way to a 5-1 victory in Anaheim, Mikhail Shtalenkov was in net for all five goals.

Keith Tkachuk directed seven shots on goal in the second period, setting the Ducks franchise record for most shots in a period by an individual opposing player. Not surprisingly, the Coyotes went on to win 6-3.

Set a franchise record for fewest shots allowed in a period by holding the Kings shot-less in the first period. The Ducks still ended up losing 2-1. They would later match that record by allowing Buffalo zero third period shots in the 2011-12 season opener in Helsinki.

The Ducks dropped the last game of the 2003 season 4-3 in overtime against Colorado. Their final record was 40-27-9-6 (W-L-T-OTL), finishing second in the Pacific and seventh in the West. It's ok though, because they went on a magical run through the playoffs, sweeping Detroit and coming one game short of the franchise's first ever Stanley Cup.

In the 2004 season finale, the Ducks beat Calgary 2-1. The season ended with a record of 29-35-10-8 (W-L-T-OTL) fourth in the Pacific and 12th in the West. This was Mike Babcock's last game as head coach of the Mighty Ducks and the last game for over a full year thanks to THE Lockout.

The Anaheim Ducks are presented with a $50,000 check payable to the “Ducks Care” Community Foundation after winning the inaugural Freeway Face-Off rivalry series with the Los Angeles Kings, six games to two.

The Ducks won their last regular season game of the 2007-2008 season 3-2 in a shootout over Phoenix. They ended the season with a 47-27-8 record, good for second in the Pacific and fourth in the West. They then went on to lose to Dallas in the first round.
